On February 22, 2019, Dr. Andrew Leichsenring, a full-time faculty member of the Center for English as a Lingua Franca, conducted a workshop as part of the Tamagawa University campus-wide FD/SD training sessions. The title of the workshop was ‘Introduction to Teaching: The Development of Teacher Identity in Professional Learning Communities’.
In addition to the large volume of visitors who strolled through the numerous displays to ask questions and learn more about the CELF, over 300, of those who visited, actively participated in CELF organized events, which consisted of 1) Karaoke in English sessions, 2) Thai Culture in English sessions, 3) Trial English Speaking Lessons, 4) Special Lecture sessions, 5) TOEIC/EIKEN Quiz Classes, 6) Kids’ English sessions, and 7) Yoga in English sessions.
