Speaker: Dr. Masaki Oda (Director of the CELF; Professor of Applied Linguistics)
Title: Anything el(f) to do?: ELF program for the next five year
Abstract: Since its foundation in 2014, CELF has gained its recognition both domestically and internationally as a front runner of ELF-informed university English language programs, and is featured in TESOL Encyclopedia of English Language Teaching (2018). The presenter reflects its first five years focusing on 1) Multicultural program management; 2) Promoting ELF awareness on campus, and 3) Issues of assessment. He then discusses how we need to cope with various remaining issues for the next five years in correspondence with rapid social changes.
